SHUN VIOLENCE AND FOCUS DEVELOPMENT – CHIEF IMAM OF ENAGI

‘’we should be happy and appreciate Almighty Allah who had kept us to witness this day in peace and good health. Let’s shun violence, be focused and more concerned about development to individuals and to the community as a whole ‘’ Said the Chief Imam of Enagi, Alh Attahiru Muhammad in his sermon at the Eid-kabir prayer ground on the 1st of Sep 2017 during the Eid-kabir celebration at Enagi, Edati Local gov’t Niger State.

The Chief-Imam pleaded with the people to take God’s affairs in them with seriousness as it is sacred, and also urged them to be steadfast in their worship at every point in time
“death is inevitable, none of us know our appointed time, so we should always do good so that death would meet us in the best action” .
He also told the people of the community to be each others brothers’ keeper and be bond in love. ‘Islam as a religion has taught us love, unity and tolerance. Hatred has nothing to offer but instead it takes away a lot from us’ he added.
He emphasized on the need for alertness and security consciousness as a responsibility of every individual in the society at a time like that the country is facing with a lot of security challenges.
Muhammad also advised the people of the community to take faming very serious as the cost of food is becomig unbearably expensive and worrisome, because, the people’s consumption is extremely high and level of production is little. Wanted people to double effort in farming activities, so that there will be more production.
He also enjoyed every individual to portray seriousness and honesty in whatever trade or occupation they engage in. And stand as a good and responsible ambassador of their societies.
He continued on the need to call Almighty at all time for He to guide them.
And enjoyed the people to desist from hypocrisy as it contributes to the instability which the country is faced with.
Alhaji Suleiman Ahmed who is the Bima of Enagi said that, the people should be happy and appreciate Almighty Allah to have seen the day as we had lost many people who would have thought they would be amongst those celebrating. He also advised the people to have the fear of God in what they are doing.
Sarkiun Makawa of Enagi, Alhaji Muhammad Kudu enjoyed the youths to desist from any form of violence and be obedient to their parents.
“Youths should take their education serious because if they sow seriousness in It they would leap and vice versa.”
Alhaji Muhammad Bima Enagi concluded seeking for co-operation in the society and pleaded with the Nupechizi “whole Nupe kingdom” to live in love and assist each other if opportuned. He also opined that keeping good name as it is better than wealth and enjoyed the people to imbibe the spirit of togetherness.
